Local Priorities

We have seen a rise in anti-social behaviour and shoplifting being reported by youths in the area, which we are in the process of tackling.

Issued: 28 Apr 2026

Status Update

Have spoken to a local retailer that has been persistently targeted over the past couple of weeks and the local school to ensure children are given some education around the consequences of being caught shoplifting and being involved in other anti-social behaviour, which will not be tolerated and can lead to prosecution.
We will monitor whether there is any reduction in reported incidents over the next few weeks and will look to gather evidence and look to take more robust action if problems continue.
